"G" weeks gone.

In our "G" weeks, Madison and Daddy dropped garbage off at the garbage dump, Jacob helped Daddy at the gas station, we shopped at the grocery store, did gardening, ate greek food, cut the grass, and had the gutters cleaned.

These little guys ("Gronkle" from a new movie?) were a gift on the long drive home from our U.S. trip! We next to never eat McD's, and never get the Happy Meal toy, but for some reason did both on our trip, and Jacob LOVED them - kept him busy for a good while! He called them "Grunkles" and then just "Uncle" when he forgot the real name!

Our super-traveller Madison didn't stop grinning the whole way:

Mads made a list of chapter books (33 in all!) as her reading goal for the weekend:

We went to a great children's museum in the Seattle area. One of the favourites of the kids was a gigantic magnetic board filled with geometric shapes:

But one of our favourite parts of the trip, was goo-ing and gaa-ing over the newest member of the family, new baby Kaytlyn, a gorgeous grinning 3-month-old girl:

Forgotten in "F" week....

I collected up all of these "F" crafts and we didn't find the time to do them - argh:

Fun with "F"

We did more than a few fun things in our "F" 2 weeks - take a look!

Madison did her country project on Finland, and her animal study on flamingos.

We also took these neat drawing books out of the library and Nana, Madison, and I tried our hand at drawing frogs using only ovals:


And then tried drawing fish using only triangles:
