"P" is packed!

"P" is off to a great start. This week, we baked pumpkin pie cookies. We ate pastrami, pasta, peanuts, pickles, poached eggs, popsicles, potato chips, plums and potato salad. We drove through Parksville. Mads and I wore our hair in ponytails. We used plenty of push pins. We listened to pretty piano music. Jacob has been showing interest in reading his potty books. Madison had a lot of questions about being poor and seeing panhandlers on the medians around town. Jacob played "peek-a-boo" and "pat-a-cake" with Nana.

Madison paddled in the Pacific ocean:

And she and Nana perused it together:

Jacob worked hard on a painting project:

And when Mads did hers, these painted piggy banks were the finished product:

On a neighbourhood walk, we saw this pampas grass:

...this Pomeranian puppy:

...these prickles:

...all while Jacob drove his prized black pick-up truck with puppy stuffies in tow:

Nana was pampered by the kiddos, even getting her toenails painted purple:

Mads went to a horse camp where on the last day they had a pony parade (there was even a palamino!):

And she and a new pal were presented with certificates and trophies:

We read "P" library books:

Ate peaches:

Made (turkey) pepperoni pizzas:

Gave a personalized purple box of chocolates to Nana for a present:

Mads used a pestle and mortar:

Jacob visited a farm where he saw pigs, he picked up a chick that went "peep":

...plunked himself down in the rabbit pen:

...puckered up with a baby goat, convinced that it "wanted a kiss":

...and went for a pony ride:

He and I played with Picture Pegs:

Mads adopted a new Webkinz... meet Pinkie Pig:

For church, Nana, Madison and I wore pink (and the mamas wore pearls):

We ate pistachios:

Jacob ate meals on his favourite planets placemat:

We picked up a plasma car that someone so kindly gave to us:

Madison posed for a very polka-dot picture:

We pulled out the Polly Pockets to play with:

Made a polka-dotted "P" paper plate craft:

Jacob practiced his people:

And he wore plaid while working on a 'project', as he called it:

We baked pumpkin muffins:

...and made pumpkin pancakes:

Off to publish this post!
