"K" completed!

For the last week of "K": Grandad and Madison listened to some Kiri te Kanawa, we ate ketchup, Mads played online with her Webkinz kangaroo, we heard a message at church about King David, we saw a kazoo at the toy store, and tried to work on being kind as much as we possibly could!

The kids worked on "K" worksheets:

Because of our run of rainy weather, our plan to kick soccer balls became kicking in mud puddles:

We made Krispie treats to share at a homelearners get-together:

Visited our favourite local toy/teaching store, Kool and Child:

Read books for our research projects about koalas and Kenya:

Visited the Nanaimo Museum where there is an old-fashioned schoolroom and Mads took in this:

Attempted some kite-flying:

Ended up with a bunch of kiddos in our sandbox:

Went to Kernels, a popcorn kiosk in the mall:

I made keftedes for the first time (greek meatballs?):

We went kayaking at a free community event:

Sadly said "good-bye" to Aunt Katie, who moved to London, England this week:

Went go-karting:

Cooked up some delicious kamut puff squares:

Found a new cereal for Warren to try:

Went to watch the cannons go "KABOOM" at the downtown Bastion:

Mads told me that I had to include my favourite website:

We mailed a care package to sweet Kate, a little one battling cancer:

A few things that we didn't get to, that were on our list were: going to a karate demo, eating Korean food, playing at the Kin park, watching the "Kit Kittredge" DVD that we borrowed from the library, having a scavenger hunt with Hershey kisses along the way, and eating kiwi fruit.
