Unbelievably late "U"

Ugh, so unmotivated... until now! Our "U" weeks were quiet. We met people who went to university, Youtubed "Under the Umbrella Tree" videos, sat on upholstery, drove on Uplands Road, walked uphill, felt uncomfortable, understanding, and unhappy, saw a U-Haul truck, unpacked from our trip, untied and unlocked things, saw people who wore uniforms, wore underwear, turned our house upside-down to be painted, Warren continued to be an uncle, and I continued to be an umpire between the kiddos.

Not much to do for Sabbath school for "U" week, so we learned about some undersea creatures:

'Tis the rainy season, so we used our umbrellas a lot:

We went to the beach and found a branch shaped like a "U":

A shell shaped like a "U":

And a rock with a "U" pattern in it:

Madison and Nana made an umbrella:

A ukelele:

A unicycle:

A "U":

Nana helped Madison and Jacob to create these unusual creations using items from under the sea:

They also created this unique boat:

Driving one day, the kids and I saw this truck, with a "District of Ucluelet" image on it:

And we colored. Oh, did we color. We colored ukari monkeys, umbrella birds, and urials:

Unicorns:

The universe:

(Sea) urchins:

Umbrellas:

And ukeleles and unicycles:

We visited the Nanaimo Museum where we toured the new coal mining exhibit, learning how it was to work underground:

We parked in an underground parkade:

Had fun playing UNO:

Madison and Jacob made universe "U" paper plate crafts:

At the beginning of the 2 weeks, I printed this UPS coloring book for Jacob and he worked everyday on it until it was finished:

We baked (pineapple) upside-down cake:

In our travels, we drove by these places:

And finally, we used utensils while baking and cooking in the kitchen:
