"Q" went quickly.

So quickly in fact, that here I am posting a week late! We filled our second "Q" week with lots of fun.

Jacob coloured a Qantas airplane picture:

The kids made a Q paper plate letter craft for our wall:

Madison went here for dinner with Nana and Grandad:

We fed the ducks a great quantity of food... QUACK!

Madison rode her favourite quadruped:

Our bible lesson for this week was about when God provided quail to the Israelites. We coloured quail pictures...:

...and made a quail craft:

Jacob and I visited the closest thing to a quarry that we could find:

We did some rubbings of quarters. We learned that the animal on it is not a moose (Mommy's idea), nor an elk (Daddy's idea), but a caribou! And of course, the Queen on the other side!

The kids and I found a new school playground to picnic and play at:

Mads did a 'book' all about quarters (fractions):

During bathtime one evening, we brainstormed a few quatrain poems:

Jacob and I found a quay:

Aunty Linda visited and felt queasy on the quilt...:

...but then felt better and had some quiet time with Daniel:

We visited another new-to-us spot:

We read our "question and answer" books:

Jacob coloured another quetzal bird, this time he gave it "3 suns and a truck":

Uncle Dan and Madison found quite the quicksand spot on Qualicum Beach:

Mads took a Highland dance summer camp this week and learned a very quick dance:

We stopped for a photo of this store that we pass by almost every day:

We worked together to make quilts for dolls and stuffies:

While Mads was in camp one day, Jacob and I popped into this store:

Jacob and I coloured pictures of quince (couldn't find any to try at the store!):

We had an outdoor Quiznos picnic on our quilt:

I thought it would be fun to practice being a quarterback, find some quartz, and make our own quill pens, but other than that, we didn't quit and did it all!

  1. Aww, the quail crafts are quite queer, especially the multi-coloured one. Love this blog. Thanks for sharing your wonderful ideas with us. You are the world's best Mom. I dub thee, Queen of all things crafty and fun.
